The MUST Deep Learning group invites applications for Master’s and PhD scholarships in deep learning for 2026. Research areas include time series model interpretability and deep learning theory, with applications from space weather prediction to assistive technologies.
Scholarship values:
Master’s: R175 000 per year
PhD: R200 000 per year
Eligibility:
Master’s: Final-year BSc/BEng students with a strong maths background
PhD: Master’s graduates in a relevant field
